Although not a regular reader of the Mystery genre, I thoroughly enjoyed The Unwilling Adventuress. It's a satisfying romance mystery and because it was written in the 1910s offers interesting insights into gender, social and cultural issues of the period. The short preface provides an accessible background to these issues. The now antiquated senses of even familiar vocabulary (e.g. adventuress) are fascinating too. The four additional short mysteries are a great bonus. These are quite short crime/mystery stories and perfect for when you need a quick 5-10 minute read before bed!
